Idaho Lemon Law Eligibility Assessment

Reviews vehicle eligibility, warranty coverage, defects, repair attempts, out-of-service time, notice, records, and remedy readiness.

Who this is for: new-vehicle owners evaluating state Lemon Law protections.

Idaho law note (August 12, 2026): Idaho’s Lemon Law generally requires the defect to be reported before the earliest of warranty expiration, two years after delivery, or 24,000 miles. The statutory presumptions can involve four unsuccessful attempts for the same defect, one failed repair followed by complete steering or braking failure likely to cause death or serious injury, or 30 business days out of service. Written notice, a final repair opportunity, arbitration terms, and a three-year suit deadline matter.
