Washington Divorce Readiness Assessment

Reviews residency, service, property, debts, support, parenting, safety, disclosures, agreements, and procedural readiness.

Who this is for: spouses considering, starting, or responding to a divorce.

Washington law note (August 12, 2026): Washington generally permits filing when either spouse resides in Washington or is stationed here. A divorce decree generally cannot be entered until at least 90 days after the petition is filed and the summons is served or the respondent joins the petition; jurisdiction, county procedure, safety, property, and parenting issues can extend the case.
